You may ask, can meditation do anything to relieve anxiety? The world we live in is highly demanding of us, there is always the next opportunity around the corner, the options are limitless and the mind is always buzzing full of demands, deadlines, last-minute tasks, life is on the edge and you don't want to miss out. Yet, you feel overwhelmed by the workload, your manager is always on your heels and fear to fail. This is not what school prepared you for, nowhere near to it.
If this resonates with you then it's time to learn meditation. Many people who are constantly on the move assume relaxing isn't for them, they're the ones who benefit most from it. For the beginners the best way to start is by sitting in a chair or laying on a bed using a guided meditation, dimming the lights and following the meditation course.
Meditation teaches us that sometimes we have to let go, we don't have to be in 'control' all the time, because even when we're in a meditative state, we're still in control. After all, the subconscious mind has a chance to help you see what you couldn’t before. We learn to trust the process within, to follow our true path in life.
